These are by no means cheap ski pants. Bergans really mean business with their skiwear and with the Sirdal Lady Pant (there is a men's version available too) it's really obvious. For the substantial amount of money you're paying you get top notch waterproof highly breathable Dermizax stretch fabric, sturdy fastenings (velcro and press studs), adjustable braces that can be removed, toughened areas at the bottoms of the legs, integral internal snow gaiters and a RECCO reflector built-in.
In addition to all this, the Sirdal Pants can be fastened into several of Bergans' women's ski jackets to form a ski suit with no gaps. The men's version of the Sirdal also zips into several of the men's jacket models.
The legs are well shaped, with articulated knees and there's plenty of mobility in them, which will please even the most demanding skier or boarder.
It's versatility where the Sirdal really earn their keep though, being quite lightweight, they can be worn in warmer late season conditions, but also with thermals underneath in colder temperatures. They're also well designed for use as winter mountaineering pants or cross-country or ski touring trousers if that's more your thing. The reinforced ankle areas are well designed to prevent crampon damage.
A pricy option, but a worthwhile investment for those looking for a really versatile and high performance pant.
