How much do you need a neckwarmer? We check out the McNair Wessenden merino wool neckwarmer to find out.

McNair's Wessenden neckwarmer is, like its partner Standedge beanie, made from the finest worsted spun merino wool in Yorkshire, where they know a thing or two about making quality woollen clothing.

Like the beanie the Wessenden also uses seamless knitting technology, which combined with the soft, light merino wool guarantees a warm, comfy fit.

The top of the nckwarmer is fitted to ensure a it stays in place (a lot of neckwarmers are prone to slipping) and its long enough that you can pull it right up when the weather is really foul whilst at the same time being light enough to roll down comfortably in warmer conditions, or stash away easily in a pocket when the sun comes out.

Yes, the Wessenden is expensive for a neckwarmer, but it's a quality piece of kit that looks very stylish and will last for years.
