Adaptable enough to use as both a base- and mid-layer
Chest pocket seems a bit superfluous but that's being picky

The Baseline is a full-zip fleece jacket featuring high-wicking and quick-drying Polartec Power Dry fabric, a bi-component knit construction that uses different yarns on the inside and outside in order to more effectively move sweat away from the skin and, having done so, to dry quickly.

The jacket also utilises Polygiene Stayfresh in its construction, which inhibits the growth of odour-causing bacteria and fungi so you can effectively wear it for longer periods without washing it. This is especially useful on winter expeditions when you may not be able to - nor want to - remove your clothes for several days at a time.

The Baseline has a slim fit and although designed as a mid-layer it can also be worn as a stand-alone fleece in warmer conditions - the fit is snug but not restrictive when worn as a mid-layer, and relatively loose but not baggy when worn alone.

Features include an under-helmet hood and YKK Vislon front zip and thumb loops, ensuring that the jacket remains comfortably in position when worn as a mid-layer. You also get a zipped chest pocket which for most people is probably more likely to be a 'feature' rather than a practical pocket.

As with the Helly Hansen FZ Hoodie the Baseline is a versatile garment that you'll be able to get use out of year round in the mountains and not just in winter.
