North Face’ bold Dragline Printed ski jacket blends super high-tech materials with a more casual look. With an incredibly bold printed pattern, you would have to be equally as bold to wear this jacket and pull it off.
Zipped hand pockets are tiny but Saved by the cargo pockets on top. Very baggy fit.
The thick Dryvent 3-layer ripstop material feels super durable and ready to take on any adventure. It is fully seam-sealed and the zips are YKK Aquaguard for proper waterproofing. In true freeride style the hood is large and helmet compatible, and the chin area comes up really high over the face to offer excellent protection from biting winds. There are two main adjusters for the hood but the volume adjuster at the back is a simple piece of Velcro that doesn't really do much.
With tons of pockets all over the jacket you won’t be left wanting for storage space, even if the zipped hand pockets are only suitable for tiny elf hands. There’s a lift pass pocket with integrated goggle wipe, zipped chest pockets, no less than four hand pockets, and two internal mesh dump pockets. The Dragline lacks an internal media pocket but one of the outside chest pockets has a hole for headphone cables to feed through. This pocket has a YKK Aquaguard zipper so is safe to store your phone in.
Of course, you get Velcro wrist adjusters and a silicone-backed powder skirt to keep the snow out.
Overall, this is a fully featured, durable, and well-built freeride jacket. It's available in a much more sombre deep red colour for men and a pastel green or black and white colour for women. If your style is as bold as the print on this jacket though, we will give you a respectful wave as you cruise past us on the slopes.
