The Salomon Supernova ski jacket comes with a streamlined, active fit cut at a very good price point and is likely to appeal to keen intermediate piste skiers.

Made from durable, high quality waterprof/breathable fabric with 100 pe cent taped seams, it also features 100g of actiLOFT™ insulation for added warmth.

The hood is removable and has 3D adjustment to ensure a good field of vision, and temperature regulation is achieved through Salomon's Air Vent system with mesh backing.

There are plenty of outer zipped pockets (two handwarmers, chest and lift pass pocket) and an inner stash pocket so you can carry all the gear you're likely to need for a day on the piste, and additional features include a powderskirt, snap-in pant connectors and Lycra cuffs.

If you're looking for a good quality, reasonably priced ski jacket the Supernova is worth checking out.
