Easy to ride and looks really nice
The lack of response and stiffness for the category

K2 skis, we luv them, but we're struggling to feel the attraction with the Luv Mach 74Ti - billed as a high-performance ski for expert women riders, but oddly lacking in power at the top end.

They would be perfectly suitable for an improving recreational skier who can carve a turn already but wants to step it up to the next level. In fact, the response and rebound in the turns, with a nice flex throughout the skis, makes for a nice ride - just don't push them too hard.

At higher speeds they lack stability - we believe the hybrid capped sidewall has something to do with this. K2 say that the combination of a capped and traditional sidewall helps to produce a balance between power and accuracy and keeps the weight down, but we feel for a ski at this level, there needs to be more power.

So our review considering it's an expert high-performance ski isn't too positive, but if we would be testing the skis for recreational to advanced skiers then the scores would be higher and we actually enjoy the way they perform at a more mellow pace.

The top sheet has a nice girly edge to it, with a sweet purple and black top sheet giving them top marks on rack appeal. Conclusion - not that high-end in performance but quite high-end on price so this one doesn't make it into our all-time greats.
