The Ripcord is another great snowboard from Burton. At the test, the other riders were really stoked on how good it feels and the confidence boost you get from riding such a forgiving and progressive snowboard.

Burton work hard to develop top end tech and pioneer advancements in the snowboard industry. This might not mean much to most beginners, but when I got on the Ripcord you could really feel the board working to smooth out the ride and make carving and turning as smooth and relaxed as possible.

Aimed at riders looking to invest in their first snowboard, the Ripcord is a really fun and forgiving all-mountain ride. At just £260, it's a lot of board for the money and you wouldn't know this was an entry level product at all.

Great to ride, the board nicely smooths out chatter, has plenty of pop and is really fun when cruising and playing about on the piste. The softer flex doesn't make it particularly strong in the powder, but with more experience anyone could take it to the steep and deep.
