New eco-friendly snowboard company from the Lake District to be launched in October with an event at The Snow Centre, Hemel Hempstead.

Triple Olympic Snowboarder Zoe Gillings and Britain’s fastest snowboarder Jamie Barrow will attend a launch for Striding Edge Snowboards at The Snow Centre, Hemel Hempstead, on Thursday October 23rd from 3pm onwards.

The brand have released a small range of eco-friendly snowboards using sustainable bamboo in the construction of the boards.

Striding Edge founder and Director Graham Koppenhol, intends to push the eco friendly model and ensure it stands up to its claim.

‘I believe we can make a difference by giving UK snowboarders a truly eco-friendly product to ride’ says Koppenhol, ‘we are proud to be at the forefront of the eco movement in the snowboard industry’. ‘We are working every day to meet our ambitious target to be carbon neutral before the end of 2016'.

The boards feature original artwork and an all-mountain design with reverse camber, medium flex, twin tips, ABS sidewall construction and IS7500 sintered bases for riding on groomed slopes, in the park or in the powder.

Anyone is welcome to come along to watch Jamie and Zoe try out the new snowboards, there will also be a competition to win one of the boards on the day.
