Top build quality, great design
Rear pocket/s would have been useful but not essential

The Free Thinker features Gore-tex Pro fabric with taped seams and is a great example of a really well-designed product that has the end user as prime consideration. All the features work easily and simply to make the pants comfortable and effective in whatever conditions you use them (although they’re primarily designed for big mountain skiing.

The bib has easy-to-use Velcro braces, side zips for easy entry and a useful chest pocket, below which the pants have two zipped hand pockets and two zipped cargo pockets, so there’s plenty of room for on-the-go storage.

Venting zips on the inner thigh help keep things comfortable on long ascents or warmer days, and there are scuff guards, adjustable cuffs and snow gaiters – in short, everything you need and nowt you don’t. Great kit, basically.
