Everyone has an opinion about which is the stiffest boot out there, and having had the chance to test a lot of them I'd say that the Malamute definitely makes the podium, although with Salomon's boot expertise you wouldn't expect any less!

If you like to charge hard, go big or love a stiff and supportive boot then this is the boot for you. The Malamute is fantastic for sending it off big drops, blasting through waist deep pow or smashing through any kind of chop at speed.

I particularly like the footbed that seemed to keep my feet relatively happy all day and comfy out of the box straight away. If you are looking for an all-mountain boot I think there are better options, as this is a hard-charging boot for people who want max power, response and support.

When hiking a line in these boots I was surprised how much easier it was to trudge through the snow with the stiffer flex and support.

Not exactly my type, but anyone after something powerful and, most of all, stiff will love this boot!
