Tour operator flexiski has asked the award-winning vegetarian ethical food firm The Redwood Wholefood Company to advise its chefs on specialist menus for the Hotel Saint Louis in Courchevel 1850, this winter.

"We appreciate that vegetarians sometimes come off second best in ski resort catering and this partnership will allow flexiski to offer a variety of great vegetarian and vegan options that are appealing and creative," said a flexiski spokesperson.

All food in the Redwood range is free from animal ingredients and derivatives as well as cholesterol, lactose, hydrogenated fats and genetically modified organisms. As well as advising the chefs on vegetarian and vegan options, the company, which is owned by Heather Mills, will provide a chef for training staff at the hotel.

For the first time - and unique in Courchevel 1850 - flexiski is able to offer short breaks to the Hotel Saint Louis during any week of the winter season, be it Christmas, New Year or February half term.

Bookings can be made for long weekends, mid-week breaks, or traditional seven-night holidays. The hotel is situated opposite the Bellecôte piste with doorstep skiing, can sleep up to 85 people in a choice of ensuite rooms and offers facilities for meetings, events and conferences as well as private dining and evening entertainment.
