Oscar-winning filmmaker Jimmy Chin leads a ski mountaineering ascent of Grand Teton in the latest film from the FIFTY - The Grand Teton with Jimmy Chin.

Not just a brilliant filmmaker, as shown on Free Solo- for which he won the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature- Jimmy is a skilled mountaineer and adventure skier.

Having been involved in filming expeditions across the globe, we get to see Jimmy in front of the camera for a change, in this slow-paced yet intriguing short doc showcasing his skills, climbing techniques and stoic attitude.

As the wind picks up to fifty miles an hour on an exposed mountainside Jimmy says “I’m of the attitude to keep going until it doesn’t make any sense.” Only to leave us smiling with “That was a suffer-fest!”.
