The event, in its second year, offers two distances – a 10km course for recreational runners and a 20km course for people who just don’t ski hard enough. Both distances start at 2189 metres, at the top of the Jandri 1 lift, and weave down to the resort centre. Where anyone with sense is drinking vin chaud.
Both routes will follow pistes for the first four kilometres, before descending back down to the bright lights of the resort on the Demoiselles track. Once in the resort, the 10 km competition will return directly to the resort centre by the lower slopes whereas the 20km race competitors will run through the Molière forest, via a cross-country trail.
Those that are interested can jog on to les2alpes-evenements to register online. It’s possible to register on race day with an additional payment of €5.
