Now ticking all the London airports to Geneva, by adding Gatwick to City and Heathrow, SWISS are the ski friendly airline for the south.

In addition to your standard free included baggage allowance, SWISS is happy to transport your first set of skis/snowboard and boots free of charge. So the price you see is the price you pay, and your skis can come too.

For those who wish to travel light, without any checked in luggage, there is an option for a cheaper ticket called ‘the Geneva Economy Light Fare’, obviously you can't take you skis along on this ticket. Your standard free baggage allowance per person is 1 piece of max. 23kg in Economy Class and 2 pieces of max. 32kg in Business Class.

The new Gatwick-Geneva route is bookable now and will be operated from 14 December 2013 until 30 March 2014, operating on, Monday, Saturday and Sunday. Fares start from £107 return, including all airport taxes.

Free transport is provided for the following items:
• One pair of skis, one pair of ski poles and one pair of boots
• One snowboard and one pair of snowboard boots
