Budget airline Jet2 has added Catalan airport Lleida to its roster of ski-friendly routes for this winter.

Flying direct from Stansted, from just £37 return, the Sunday-only route to Lleida will be seen as a gateway to 21 ski areas including Spanish Pyrennean resorts such as Bacqueira Beret and La Molina, as well as Brit-friendly Andorran resorts like Grandvalira and Pal-Arinsal. Flights start from December and will run through to the end of March.

There are several options for onward travel from Lleida, such as:

Bus – Buses from the airport to the resorts only run a few times on Fridays and Saturdays. If this isn’t convenient for you, try a taxi or hire a car.

Car rental – Jet2carhire.com offer hire cars from a wide range of suppliers, available to pick up from Lleida Airport. It takes around 2hrs to 2hrs 40, to reach most resorts.

Taxis –There will be the option to grab an airport taxi outside your terminal.

Private transfers – Jet2transfers are offered by holidaytaxis.com, so you can choose the ideal transfer from the airport to a huge range of ski resorts.

Train – The train line is well connected to the mountains, but you’ll have to take a 20-minute car journey to the station from the airport first.

Jet2 also has flights from UK airports to seven other European airports that offer good service to ski resorts: Geneva, Grenoble, Lyon, Salzburg, Turin, Verona and Barcelona.
