The Prodigy have confirmed they will headline this year's Snowbombing festival in Mayrhofen, Austria, from 4-9 April.

Famed for their high-octane, fire-starting profanity, the Prodigy are set to heat things up at Snowbombing 2011.

Snowbombing founder Gareth Cooper said: 'This is the biggest band we've ever had at Snowbombing and it shows our commitment to growing the festival each year with people and talent.'

The band join Fatboy Slim, Pendulum, Tinie Tempah, Magnetic Man, Andy C, Carl Craig, Scratch Perverts, Stanton Warriors and a whole host of others on an 'awesome avalanche' of a line up.

The Snowbombing festival, now into its second decade, has grown from its humble beginnings and now attracts around 5,000 people each year. The Austrian resort of Mayrhofen is completely taken over for a week-long party of hedonism and extreme winter sports.
