Colorado resort Winter Park is to upgrade its six terrain parks for the new season.

Twenty new rails are currently under construction, and other major park and pipe system improvements are under way. A series of new events, competitions and activities are planned for the season to take full advantage of the revitalized parks.

'After four years without a single new rail, it's great to have put together such a big order of fresh and innovative rails,' said Bob Holme, terrain park and youth marketing manager at Winter Park Resort. 'The 20 new rails, in addition to our existing rail inventory, will allow the crew to be even more creative in our park set-ups and flow.'

The six terrain parks are designed as a progressive system, and cater for all ability levels: from the beginner's Starter Park and Bouncer to the classic Rail Yard and expert-only Dark Territory.
