We very much liked the neck and wrist closures, the warmth and waterproofness, the lack of sweaty feel when boot-packing and the relaxed style and design.
The inconsistent use of waterproof zips (ie none on the hand warmer pockets) and the slightly rough feel of the neck facing material when drawn in for full weather protection left us wanting more.

The Swash is a good-looking 2 layer GORE-TEX jacket with a lightly insulated non-removable vest that provides warmth over the chest and back area. Designed to provide maximum freedom of movement without compromising the brand's snowboard heritage and style, the Swash is guaranteed to appeal to both the baggy old skool and the new breed of mountain athletes.

In terms of features, the Swash packs a powerful powder punch. With fully taped seams, waterproof zips, and two large open internal stash pockets, it's a great jacket for boarders and skiers who value functionality and bombproof weather protection. There's also pit-zips for warm weather hiking and spring days, a snow skirt, four external pockets and two zipped internal pockets for wallets/smartphones/ski passes etc.

All in all, the Swash is a great all-winter freeride jacket that provides enough warmth, functionality and protection to suit most happy kicker builders, and the necessary protection and features to please those who like to go beyond the ropes.
