A new British ski school has opened in Chamonix, offering bespoke coaching and off-piste skiing experiences in and around the Chamonix Valley.
All ski coaches at the Gravity Ski School hold accredited qualifications that allow them to guide and teach on- and off-piste skiing as well as ski touring on non-glaciated terrain.  Ski school leader Chris Fecher is the first UK pro skier to gain the highest level International Ski Teaching Diploma (ISTD) along with a full French Equivalence.

Other Gravity coaches also hold high level qualifications: Graham Emmery is qualified to the highest level of ISTD, as well as being a first grade rugby player, while Mikey Edwards, former International Ski Instructors Association (ISIA) coach for Gap programs, is qualified in the UK and Switzerland as well as France.

‘La Tour is a real gem, situated at the top of the valley getting sun on its gentle slopes even on the coldest January day,’ Fecher said. ‘The off-piste skiing here is amazing: sublime tree runs, fabulous powder and steep descents just a stone’s throw from the resort boundary.’
