The pearl of the Tyrolean ski areas, Austria’s Ski Juwel Alpbachtal Wildschönau is everything a family winter holiday in the mountains should be. Located at the heart of the Kitzbühel Alps, the Ski Juwel has been voted as one of the most family-friendly ski resorts.

Across its 109 prepared pistes and 45 ski lifts the Ski Juwel boasts ideal ski conditions for beginners and experts alike – from wide and easy beginners pistes to challenging runs and fabulous freeride on the Wiedersbergerhorn. Moreover, trick-loving teens can test their skills in the region’s two snow parks on the Schatzberg and the Wiedersbergerhorn.

A great family holiday means quality time together off the pistes too - try tobogganing on the Lanerköpfl in Niederau or the Schatzberg in Auffach or bulding an igloo in Niederau/Wildschönau. On the Reither Kogel you can try your hand at being a Piste-Caterpillar Co-Pilot. On top of the Wiedersbergrhorn take an exhilarating ride though twists, turns and loops on the Lauser Sauser Alpine Coaster.

And when you want to take a break, choose an authentic Tyrolean treat at one of the 25 spectacular mountain huts found dotted around the Alpbachtal Wildschönau Ski Juwel. Try traditional Kasspatzn from an iron pan, or the sweet speciality called Kaiserschmarrn, a favourite amongst young and old, local and guest!

The Ski Juwel proudly boasts several national and regional awards, including the prestigious Tyrolean Family-Ski Region certificate awarded by the Tirol Werbung and a glittering five stars from Skiresort.de for its family-friendly pistes and facilities.
