Fantastic at making powerful and zippy turns with great edge angles
You need to put some effort in to get the best out of them

The Salomon 'Son of a Blast' moto runs down from the race department to the S/Max Blast, and you can really feel that race pedigree.

They produce great edge hold and acceleration out of the turns, but this could be too much to handle for some so make sure you have the strength to keep up!

The radius varies according to length, between 13 and 17m, but even in the longer lengths they are still good for making snappy, short turns on steeper slopes. They are equally good for blasting out some longer radius turns, just be careful as there is a lot of power in the tails which could catch you out and put you in the backseat.

The sandwich construction of wood core with a double titanium sheet gives the skis great stability and rebound while maximising ski to snow contact. The Edge Amplifier system, which integrates bindings, plate and ski, really helps you direct the pressure onto the edges of the skis.

The S/Max Blast will encourage you to create more edge angles as you feel confident that your edges will hold even on hard snow, and the rebound effect will help you release the turn and initiate the next.

In short, yes, if you attack the piste with a hunger for speed and precision then the S/Max Blast is the ski for you.
