Taking its inspiration from a revolutionary ski concept born in Sun Valley, Idaho during the 1970’s, the talented development team at Scott Sports have created what they consider to be the ultimate ‘one ski does it all’ tool for recreational to advanced skiers.

After testing The Ski for the very first time this winter, we think they have got it absolutely spot on. From the moment you make your first turn on-piste you feel like there’s something special under your feet.

Smooth and stable at high-speeds during long radius turns, lively and responsive on short radius turns at slower speeds, versatile is just too short a word for this ski. Take into powder and you get the same response.

It’s not the widest ski on the market at 91mm under foot, but plenty enough to ensure the skis don’t dive underneath the snow.

The same goes for most other conditions we tested in, both cut-up powder and bumps appeared to be a very familiar second home for The Ski, the only time it struggled just a tiny little bit was in deep heavy snow at high-speeds, but let’s be honest, any ski in this category would.

Who would it suit? Anyone looking to ski on-piste most of the time and dip into the powder once in a while, anyone looking to ski off-piste most of the time and dip into the piste once in a while, most levels of skier from progressing recreational weekender's to seasonaires and instructors.

Anyone looking to buy just one pair of skis this winter.

“Redefines the all mountain category, grippy, floaty, easy to turn, stable at speed. Not sure on the graphics but in every other way this is THE ski of 2013/14”. James Gambrill, Ski Tester
